When I first started attending Penn State, I was nervous and lost because it was a completely different environment from the one I experienced in high school. In addition, I felt like I was not prepared because I did not understand my loan and financial situation, I knew little to no information about the campus, and I had to continue in this academic life without my friends. But as time passed, I started learning about all the benefits and help you could get at this college, like coaching for time management from Betsy (a fantastic person), tutoring for the classes I struggle in, there is a gym you can use with no extra fees, and the financial aid office helps you get scholarships. I also have met people who have encouraged me to join clubs such as dance, which I am now a part of. The only thing I wish is that there was a music club because I love playing the piano. Other than that, I have enjoyed my overall experience at Penn State York.

Excellent Biology and Chemistry Department. Calculus professor is very experienced and knowledgeable, and the student career planning/ counseling is excellent too. Honors program has excellent faculty mentors with research projects that can participate in symposiums. Lots of athletes on campus and teams' have winning records making them fun to watch. Finally, students that attend come from both local and international areas.

There are lots of different activities to do on campus, they’ve got tennis courts, a skate park, plenty of spots to hangout with your friends. The professors, at least the ones I have met so far, are really nice. I am only a freshman here at Penn State York, and the teaching styles are different from high school. They tend to move through topics quickly and the classes don’t feel as connected either. One thing I would like to see is maybe a little more communication from the teachers at least to help the freshman and prepare them for the years to come, but it might just be something you will have to adapt to. Overall its a great school and I think its a good fit for most students.

I like my experience in the classroom. Professors are very helpful and easy to talk to when needing help. I only wish there was more student involvement on campus. However, it is understandable due to that it is a smaller campus with students having varying schedules that there may not be many students on campus at the same time. Recently though more people have been showing up to events, which is great to see!

My first semester at Penn State York has been an overwhelmingly positive experience if I am being completely honest here! The academics are great, my professors have provided me with the best chances to succeed in their class, and the saftey around this campus definitely deserves a 10/10. Overall Penn State York is definitely a great campus for those who are still looking for a college to attend next fall!

I really enjoyed this campus. It's very good for a starting campus for Penn States 2+2 program or for one of the degrees they offer at the campus. Everyone there is pretty nice.

Very nice small campus. Very kind and welcoming faculty. Since it is a small campus with not as many students you will have smaller class sizes and you get a better connection with the professor.

The campus is small but it allows for an individual experience. You can make close friends and build connections with your professors, which you might not get at a larger university. I always feel safe on campus because they have campus security patrolling the buildings and parking lots. The professors are very well educated and do their best to make you feel welcomed and included. I enjoyed using the fitness center on campus and getting food with my friends in the cafe. Penn State York always has events going on to get students engaged and meet new people from surrounding areas.

PSY atmosphere was different from all the other big schools. It felt more like home then just a place of learning.

Although COVID-19 has shaken learning up, Penn State York has done its best to make it efficient and effective. I have enjoyed online learning a lot. I do miss the personal aspect of physical interactions but it is a journey.

Penn state York is a bit different from other penn state campuses. This campus is truly about its students. Besides the resources that penn state offers, the York campus faculty does its best to make
Students comfortable and at home. Diversity and inclusivity is 100% embraced here. I have attended, left, and returned to the York campus as I consider it a home away from home. Student life is scattered as this is a commuter based campus.
There are other campuses included penn state campuses, and other universities that you may enjoy student life. The housing is affordable but don’t be surprised if it looks questionable. Although campus is quite diverse, the area isn’t as much. It is beneficial to have a car to move around when grocery shopping and grabbing a snack off campus. However, there is a shuttle service. Downtown York has some great boutique shops and food spots to enjoy. This place truly is what you make of it.

I took classes online because of the coronavirus, and my professors were very helpful and made sure we got things done. My school did a very good job of taking care of us.

Penn State York is a great campus that has a lot of professors that love to work with their students. There is one issue that I have with the school, and that is that they have a problem with some of their professors working passed their abilities. Other than that, this school has been awesome so far and I have made a lot of friends.

Many of my professors are great and provide information beyond what you would expect and in a way that sticks your mind. However, there are a few professors that have demonstrated they are not capable of educating their students properly. There are enough professors that you can avoid these if you ask around.

Great student-teacher ratio. Clean and safe campus. Small campus makes it easy to navigate and find classes. Love the student life and there is always something to do on campus each week. Sports and party life lack due to small amount of students.

Penn State York is good academic school but it is not the best. The professors here are very good and care about their students. Outside of this there isn’t much positive to say. Because it is a commuter college there are very few clubs so it is hard to get involved. I would advise for prospective students to find another branch campus to go to spend your first two years at or if you are looking for a local college just go to York College. Overall i’d say this school is average, but this is not the place you go to if you want the college experience.

Penn State York is a small campus that makes you feel like you're at home. Every week there is a new activity to attend on campus. The class times are short and fit well into any schedule. The professors are very understanding and helpful when asked.

Great bang for your buck here, lots of free services. Makes a great transition between high school and college. Small class sizes, campus life is small because all are commuters. Wish they had more major courses here. The advisors here are really top notch, at least mine was.
